🫀October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month 🫀 Did you know that SCA can happen to anyone, at any time? It claims the lives of over 350,000 people each year in the U.S. alone, but immediate intervention can be lifesaving. Come together to spread awareness & save lives.

The Saving Hearts Foundation is passionate about saving lives from Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and one of the main ways to do so is to engage individuals in knowing how to respond when tragedy strikes. Join us in spreading awareness about the importance of CPR and AED usage.

The Saving Hearts Foundation had another successful screening event last Saturday, May 6th, at Palmdale High School. We were able to screen 84 individuals and found 2 students who had abnormal EKGs but echocardiograms confirmed they did not need a follow up.

This morning, our UCLA Undergraduate Volunteers were able to give a “Heart Talk” at Wilson High School in Long Beach in preparation for our upcoming screening at Wilson on Saturday, May 13th. For more info, please visit our website at savingheartsfoundation.com/get-screened/

On Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting our second heart screening event in conjunction with UCLA Horace Mann Community School. Our team efforts are not only fostering a strong connection between our UCLA undergraduates and the Horace Mann community, but are also saving lives

SHF is thrilled to have had the opportunity to host a heart screening at Agoura High last Saturday. We were able to screen 177 individuals and found 2 students who were recommended to follow up with a cardiologist for further evaluation of a potentially dangerous finding.
