"Be careful. If Felix finds you reading this, I can only imagine what might happen to you." When disgraced mogul Felix Craft claims he's conquered death itself, journalist Rohan Patel thinks he's found the story of the century. With a mysterious plague threatening civilization, Craft's digital paradise, Meru, may be humanity's only hope. Invited to witness the first consciousness transfer into Meru, Rohan expects either groundbreaking science or spectacular failure. What he discovers is far more terrifying. Now, he’s smuggling out a secret, wrapped in the story of that fateful day. Meru is not what it seems. Felix is not a savior. But there may be a way to turn it off for good. The Birth of Paradise is a standalone novella in The Meru Initiative, coming out in November!

What if building concrete structures could be cheaper, faster, and use dirt instead of wood molds? MIT might have figured it out. Building concrete structures needs temporary wooden molds, called formwork. This step is expensive and takes time.
