Today with the help of the National Government, we have launched the tarmacking of Kuvasali- Ekoli Road in Malava constituency. Upgrading of Kambi ya Mwanza - Lukume and Manda - Shivanga roads to bitumen standard will be happening soon.

I find it primitive for the opposition to try and mislead the electorates in Malava that much can be achieved without government support, it is not possible. That's why I'm emphatically rallying behind the UDA candidate Hon. David Ndakwa. The Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga understood this

I also wish to thank my predecessor, Hon. @GovWOparanya, for laying a solid foundation as the first Governor of Kakamega. To the outgoing Executive team, thank you for your selfless service to the County, and for your guidance during this transition.

My plan for Kakamega, which I laid bare today, needs commitment from a competent Executive team, serving with diligence, dedication and integrity. (Thread)

I was joined by the County Commissioner - John Ondego, DG - Hon. @SavulaHon, and Likuyani MP - Hon. @InnocentMugabe at the Kakamega County Teaching & Referral Hospital ahead of the President's visit to the facility tomorrow. All is set for the President's two-day Kakamega visit.

This evening as leaders from Kakamega County, we had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Kenya Dr. William Ruto. We deliberated on how best we should cooperate with the National government under the leadership of Dr. Ruto to achieve more for the benefit of the people.

I'm pleased with the status of Matete level 4 Hospital, It is well equipped with drugs and hygiene standards have been maintained. We shall soon be upgrading Malava Level 4 Hospital to Level 5 after properly equipping the facility and deploying more health workers.

Currently- together with @BarasaFernandes- we are attending the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition retreat for Governors and Deputy Governors in Naivasha chaired by the Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga. Also present is @marthakarua, @skmusyoka and @GovWOparanya

Alongside 13 of my colleagues from the Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB), we are currently attending the 10th LREB Summit at Ciala Resort in Kisumu County. The theme for the summit is "Laying the foundation for sustainable utilization of shared resources.
