London is dubbed the “phone theft capital” of the world.
Yet, almost nothing happens on its streets without the authorities knowing.
With nearly one million cameras watching, it is the most surveilled city in the Western world.
Yet, 2024 saw a staggering surge in street phone robberies.
The stats:
• 1 phone stolen every 4.5 minutes
• 13 phones stolen every hour
• 320+ phones stolen every day
Top target: iPhones account for over 60% of all reported thefts.
Now think about those “UK used” iPhones people buy in Nigeria.
You might want to ask where they really came from.
This is not random theft. It’s organised.
Thieves use e-bikes and mopeds. They strike fast and disappear before cameras can react.
Blink, and it’s gone. Otilor!

As you move up in the world you notice this rule goes backwards.
Seeking eye contact to be validated is subspace coded. Very submissive position. Holding it longer than necessary reveals you’re someone painfully conscious of their lower position in the dominance hierarchy.
Most dominant people you will ever meet assert it by dismissing you. Will hardly acknowledge you or grace you with eye contact at all. Won’t bother playing games with you bc they genuinely see you as nothing.
doomer@uncledoomer
for the autist who struggles with eye contact, be nietzchean about it. make eye contact like holding your hand over a stove. control the pain. assert your dominance. redirect the discomfort. one of us is going to struggle to make eye contact and its not going to be me.

I had a mouth like an open grave and everything i fed it rotted inside me. i spoke when i should have stayed silent and silence would have saved me but instead i gave myself away for applause that never came
and the Lord gave me two ears and one mouth and i still didnt understand the ratio
The wisest man i spoke to in days of darkness never opened his mouth once. he sat there and looked through me and i spent three years wondering what he knew that i couldnt. and the answer was simple, he knew that words are seeds and most seeds are poison
The man who guards his tongue guards his throne. blessed is the one who knows and says nothing, for he shall inherit what the loud ones scattered to the wind

Speaking about the deep contradictions in human nature, Japanese actor Hiroyuki Sanada said:
“Some people dream of having a swimming pool at home, while those who have one barely use it. Those who have lost a loved one feel a profound sense of loss, while others often complain about the relatives still in their lives. Those without a partner long for one, while those who have a partner often fail to appreciate them. The hungry would give anything for a meal, while the full complain about the taste of their food. Those without a car dream of owning one, while those who have a car are always looking for a better one.
The key to happiness is gratitude—to truly see and value what we already have, and to understand that somewhere, someone would give everything for what we take for granted.”

@lichthauch Christ descended before the ascent, there's no greater secret.

Some men rise so high that God has to break their legs to bring them back. and it only shows at the end, when they're crawling, and everybody thinks they fell but they didn't fall. they were cut down. and there is a difference between falling and being felled. God does not warn you. he does not send an angel with a message. he takes the knee first and then you spend the rest of your life on the ground wondering what happened. but he knew all along, because the hunger that made you climb was never yours. it was the serpent's voice telling you higher, higher, and God let you climb because free will is his test and every rung higher was a rung further from him. the men who rise that high don't rise out of pride. they rise out of a void, a void so deep it never fills, and God sees that void and he mourns for you because he knows the fall is coming and he knows you won't understand it when it comes. and it will only show at the end, not in the middle when you still had time to kneel, but at the end when you're finally still, in the quiet room where all your works, all your empire, all your conquests mean nothing. and you look down at your hands and realize they've been holding dust this whole time

Why can we act proper Law movie in 9ja? The way Americans act Law series you would think these guys are actual lawyers.
Court rooms in Nollywood are always embarrassing. Na only “My Lord, Objection and Objection overruled” they say while acting like idiots.
Don’t we have Lawyers that are literary geniuses who can give us a good script. Other African countries do this easily.

Yes, sir, you are right, conspiracy theory just like what we were accused of during the COVID-19 “plandemic,” right?
Foolish people like us chose not to take the mRNA vaccine, while wise, highly educated, and well-exposed individuals like you relied solely on “verified data,” took the shots, and encouraged others to do the same. Yet, with time, what you call conspiracy theory now appears to us as validated concerns.
There is something called common sense and pattern recognition. Even precedence itself can serve as a form of verified data.
Foolish conspiracy theorists like us may not be as wise as individual like you, who would willingly pay for injections produced by corporations that have faced serious accusations of misconduct, pursuing population reduction, sterilization, and causing health injuries and deaths, including past legal settlements such as Pfizer’s $75 million settlement with the Kano State Government in 2009.
You may choose to take the injection, promote it, and even pay for others to receive it. That is entirely your decision.
But please do not dismiss our so-called foolish conspiracy theories, which are based on history and observed patterns, patterns that, to us, have proven consistent.
"Nwanne, if e sure for you," come back to Nigeria and take the Nigerian version of the injection.

The Lenacapavir injection that prevents HIV is finally in Nigeria. This is a massive win for HIV prevention.
But Emeka and Nkechi, here are a few things you should know before you get it:
1. It does not prevent pregnancy, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, or Hepatitis B. So while you’re protected from HIV, you’re not immune to other STIs. You still need to use your condom abeg.
2. You MUST test negative for HIV before taking it. If you take it while secretly infected, the virus can mutate and become highly resistant to future treatments.
3. It is strictly for PREVENTION (PrEP), it is not a cure for HIV.
4. The ₦58,000 price is a subsidized target. Please, do not go and buy fake from a random unverified chemist because you saw it’s cheaper.

Every man who reads too many books before he has lived goes mad in a specific way. first he is gentle because books are gentle. then he is arrogant because books make him feel superior to the unlettered. then he is desperate because he knows everything and can do nothing. then he is finally dangerous because he takes his first real beating from life and realizes all his knowledge did not protect him and now he must rebuild everything from the ground
