Say No To Big Phones

@SayNoToBigPhone

Fuck big phones. Can’t be used with one hand, heavy AF, can’t fit in small pockets. And more big phones=less good small phones. Get large phones BANNED!

@MarcusHouse 7x2 and 9x4 are concurrent variants not really an upgrade, no reason to add another variable when they want to get back to flying asap

Starship, New Glenn, and SLS all have the exact same number of successful launches into circular low earth orbit right now.

@Yrouel86 None involves LH2, and LH2 is a bad bitch. Probably possible but would be their most complex modification so far.

SpaceX has shown time and time again that they can quickly adapt to solve new challenges and meet the needs of a customer. They adapted the fairing for Cygnus, added methane for Nova C, quickly designed and built a new dispenser for OneWeb, modified the Cargo Dragon trunk to reboost ISS. So if there's someone that can quickly accommodate Mk1 is SpaceX
Eric Berger@SciGuySpace

@cosmos4u I stand corrected on this. Without significant upper stage modifications FH cannot launch Blue Moon. It is likely New Glenn or bust.

Hearing that Blue Origin’s other New Glenn first stage booster, Never Tell Me The Odds, has been damaged. It was inside the nearby HIF facility.

The bad news is yeah, the entire U.S. space industry has essentially fallen on SpaceX’s shoulders. The good news is this has happened probably 3 times in the last 10 years and they haven’t ever failed. Still I would like to stop testing this!

@reddit_lies To them, billionaire bad government good. They would probably be retarded enough to argue Challenger disaster wasn’t an explosion just a disintegration.

@Mookafish Blue moon cant be lifted on FH bc of some fueling system that was designed with NG so im doubtful that blue origin as a whole will play part in A3 and small parts of A4

@booster_10 Don’t know if it’s better, that fire is probably enough to change the crystalline structures making all of them un-salvageable, might as well have it collapse so it can be removed safely.

This certainly validates SpaceX's odd decision to build multiple Starship launch sites (Pad 1 rework, 39A, LC-37) in parallel well before Starship is remotely operational. A similar event at Pad 2 might only delay testing by a few months thanks to 39A being nearly complete.
TheSpaceEngineer@mcrs987

Just an interesting note. The fireball engulfed and set things on fire as far as 400 meters from the pad. Imagine if an equivalent (or, more likely, an even greater) explosion occurred at Starbase. That'd set the entire launch complex on fire and engulf a significant amount of land in the surrounding blast

First S36, now LC-36… I honestly think SpaceX should skip B36, and I’m not a superstitious person in the slightest
