@Woomaen_chee @maanidoer96 Why does the hadeth make a point to mention a different scenario where the concubine does consent? Why would the outcome differ (her not being freed, but moved under his ownership) depending on the slaves consent or lack there of?

@Woomaen_chee @maanidoer96 And even that was heavily restricted, if a man wanted to aquire a concubine, he must take her under his hand and provide for her , and she is freed of any slave duties, she should also give her concent for sex, if he rapes or abuses her then she must be freed.

@Woomaen_chee @maanidoer96 Slavery existed before Islam, and while Islam didn't disallow it completely, it kept putting major restrictions around it to wither it out with time(as it was basically a trade and an economic cog, people at that time wouldn't have fought against Islam if it were to disallow it)
