Our latest paper, in which we use north Atlantic data to predict coral reef presence in the South Atlantic...and validate the prediction by actually going and looking....spoiler alert... we found new reefs :-)

1/6 We've published a report today which reviews current info on Scottish blue carbon habitats. Research in this area is relatively recent, but we know that these habitats not only store carbon but give many benefits like coastal defence, fish nursery grounds & water filtration.

Rural public transport provision in Scotland is dire.
I need to get to Fort William (& onwards west) from Aberfeldy.
Best option seems to be over 5 hours, via Inverness.
But Crianlarich & Rannoch stn are each 1 hour car drive, where I could then get train - 1.47 or 1 hour train
