Just read an interesting court judgement delivered in Francistown.😂A man wanted to marry someone, when they engaged the family, as part of negotiations, they requested that he pay for her tertiary fees at UB(350k). After completion, she didn’t feel the same way about the marriage. She feels she doesn’t need to reimburse him and that sex was enough, it was his free will to sponsor her. The court ordered her to pay 700k to the man.

GCC if its serious about collecting rates will be to make sure they partner with Water Utilies and Botswana Power Corporation. If anyone defaults on rates they cut out power and water. In many countries its like that and people pay religiously. Gape GCC could offer WUC and BPC 5%

@Sbizo In Botswana Councils do not provide water or electricity.If an individual falls behind only on rates and BPC and WUC cut off their electricity and water it would be irrational.Council can link payment of rates to other services they provide.

@tdjnrO But if in Johanesburg the City of Joburg do that if you dont pay rates they dint service you. In the US when you pay your Annual Taxes they then allow also renew your trade liecenses.
