🚨 The absolute irony of South Africa trying to flex as a continental superpower when your entire freedom was crowdfunded by the very African nations you are attacking. Imagine having your liberation leaders saved, housed, and given passports by Nigeria, Ghana, and frontline states during Apartheid, just for the modern generation to inherit the system and launch street vigilante mobs against fellow black people. Here’s the leader of the xenophobic movement in South Africa, begging a white business owner to employ their lazy locals who don’t show up to work on Monday. The unemployment problem in Black South Africa is not an immigration problem. It’s a laziness and lack of skill problem. Ghana, usually known for diplomacy, has not handled this situation in SA properly at all, it's so sad to see the relationship disintegrate. After all the bilateral agreements, visa free travel etc, Ghanaians have been in South and Southern Africa unproblematically for decades.

The land issue remains unresolved. Economic inequality is among the highest in the world in South Africa 🇿🇦 Yet when things go wrong, some South Africans blame Nigerians 🇳🇬 , Ghanaians 🇬🇭 , Zimbabweans 🇿🇼 , and other Africans instead of the Oppressors who actually benefited from apartheid.
