@MelaninRae Ne o tla reng shame ngwana batho when other kids were talking about vakansie en Amerika? 😂 I don’t blame you one bit.
English

@MelaninRae I once spoke about a vakansie in China for a karate 🥋 tournament. Yeyyi, mondelling was the pits 🙆🏾♂️

@shufflesdu Someone on this app, in reference to another Twitter “Dr”, once surmised: Inoba le PhD uyiwine emadayisini 🎲

There’s a software platform called Pro Zorro which was built in Ukra*ne for precisely this purpose and achieved much success.
A bit about it in this @TheEconomist mini-documentary on corruption. A documentary which, incidentally, but not surprisingly, is about South Africa.

KZN disaster fund management projects: Tender bids must be uploaded on a transparent platform (some minor confidential info can be redacted). Journos and the public can see if the winners look deserving. Same platform should track job progress and costs.

The floods have come. All the homes built on Inanda’s uMzinyathi River banks have been destroyed. People have lost their loved ones. All the lifetime savings gone. The greedy izinduna and landlords will kept their profits from the sale of unsuitable land. What a tragedy it is.
busani ngcaweni@busani_ngcaweni
This will happen eNanda one of these days. Those people who built houses eMzinyathi River banks will loose the properties when the next big floods come.

@SbuMsi22 @loyisomacdonald If Will Smith thinks hitting people makes him gain respect then he's a serious loser. His own wife has been tarnishing his character for sometime now. No amount of punching skinny comedians will cover that. He's lucky it's Chris he did that too
English

@loyisomacdonald I’ve been great, mate! Keep well, and please don’t catch hands at these award ceremonies 😂
English

@loyisomacdonald Yes, agreed. Disproportionate responses set terrible precedents.
English

@SbuMsi22 I know it's not the point you're making. Nothing happens in a vacuum, again, I agree. My issue with all of this is now the conversation has suddenly become how violence is justified as a response to words. It's a slippery slope.
English

Saw this screen shot on @SbuMsi22’s status. Chris Rock catching hands for making a joke about a black woman written for him by a white man.
Wild.
Kevin T. Porter@KevinTPorter
hey i wrote that silly chris rock will smith slap bit. we knew we’d push some buttons but comedy is meant to provoke and make people think, i’m proud we did both those things tonight at #Oscars2022 !
English

@loyisomacdonald I’m not sure if there’s anything in my response which suggests that physical violence is the answer? 😅
I don’t see it.
English

@SbuMsi22 I agree with you in that the joke wasn't tasteful but you don't solve the situation by sucker slapping the person who told the bad joke. Or are we to now believe that if someone says something you don't like, physical violence is the answer?
English

@loyisomacdonald I hear you, completely.
I just think there’s enough space for us to critique both Will’s unhinged & violent reaction and Chris Rock’s abusive and ableist joke. Focusing on one form of violence while ignoring another will allow for only half a lesson to be taken from this debacle.
English

@SbuMsi22 And that's my problem, an emotionally stable person wouldn't react like that. What he says in his acceptance speech concerns me even more because he admits the character he played got under his skin. We have all said and done things in anger but damn...
