If the church is responsible for bringing the most morally upright people, then why can't we take the morally upright and give them political instruments? Dr Mensah Otabil.

Tendai Biti and his team are showing real leadership in a time of crisis. The constitution is too important.

They are now threatening Rutendo Matinyarare, saying he insulted President Mnangagwa just for saying his performance has been average and does not deserve a term extension to 2030. Rutendo responded by asking how people can fairly judge the President’s performance if: 1. Under Robert Mugabe, in his first 20 years in office, he built 9,000 km of new paved roads from the 10,000 km left by Ian Smith. 2. Currently, President Mnangagwa has, in the last 9 years, paved and rebuilt 80% of the existing 584 km of the Harare–Beitbridge road, and it is still not finished. 3. He has also been refurbishing and extending 45 km of the Mazowe Road. I would say that the 45km are entirely new. 4. He has also built about 90 km of road in and around Mount Hampden and has been refurbishing about 300 km in cities and Victoria Falls road. 5. This means that, in 9 years, the President has refurbished and built about 1,200 km (6.3%) of roads out of the 19,000 km of paved roads in Zimbabwe, which are in desperate disrepair. 6. The money required to fix all Zimbabwean roads, at an average of about $1 million per kilometre, is approximately $17.4 billion. Where will it come from? Is the President’s performance on roads and raising money to fix them: excellent, good, average, bad, or poor? How many more roads can he fix between now and 2030 at the current pace of 130km per year and the perpetual electioneering for 2030 that has stopped all real work? Tomorrow we will look at healthcare, water, sanitation, electricity and other indicators.

@matigary No, the 48-hour threat was part of an exit plan with a narrative that we threatened them and they agreed to come to the table. Iran is now a superpower. And I bet you any talks now will be on a different narrative.

@ScottlandFC @ManCity The possession game is tricky, against pressing teams chance creation is minimal. I predict losses against Dynamos (as a Dembare fan of coz)🤣🤣🤣🤣

🚨🚨COME GET THE BALL PART 2🔥 As is now a habit under coach Norman Mapeza, here is one of many moments when we retained ball possession during our 3-0 victory over newcomers, Hunters at Rufaro Stadium yesterday. This was before the Carabao Cup final between @ManCity and @Arsenal. Khama Billiat scored a brace while captain, Walter Musona sealed the scoring. #Mabviravira

🚨💣 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Victor Osimhen is close to acquiring İstanbulspor — it’s confirmed. 🇳🇬😳 The Super Eagles striker’s vision goes far beyond simply becoming the club owner. He intends to build a full football bridge between Nigeria and Turkey by: — Opening a football academy in Nigeria — Discovering and developing young talents from grassroots level — Creating a clear pathway for promising players to progress through İstanbulspor before moving to bigger European clubs A very ambitious long-term project from Osimhen.

@Sbuda30 @antomukuwa @OmariZimbabwe The stupid (pardon my French) Omari that charges 50c each time a transaction declines due to insufficient funds??? Never again! At least Ecocash charges $0.00 for declined transactions, giving me free weeks to look for money instead of punishing me for being poor like Omari does.
