The University of Santiago, Chile is dedicating the building where I did my PhD to Eduardo Lissi, my supervisor, friend and teacher. Eduardo's science in this building extended over 50 years. Gracias Eduardo you are always in our hearts.
Happy to learn that I will teach CHM3128 next winter. I plan to experiment with AI as a learning tool and to discuss its use in education, catalysis and sustainable chemistry.
A few past and current members of Tito's group came to celebrate my 80th! I was happy that you came to share this landmark. I really enjoy teaching, talking chemistry, or just life with my students, and playing with toys in the lab. You truly enrich my life. Thank you.
Our paper highlighting the importance of the persistent radical effect in decatungstate photochemistry has just been published in Catalysis Science and Technology

Congratulations to Carly and Connor, winners of the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences awards for trainee and graduate students. Nice to see your achievements recognized in our Department. Well done!
In a recent JACS publication the Peterson group at Bowling Green uses the RGB head of Luzchem's LEDi illuminator to enable very novel green light aqueous photoswitching chemistry. Really nice contribution!

Congratulations to Mahzad for her successful defence of her PhD thesis. Great job!.
Thanks also to my colleagues who in the last 2 months participated in 4 thesis defences.
Our paper on the use of black-titanium dioxide for photochemical flow purification of water has now been published. Many students contributed to this project and its great to see it published.

Congratulations to Sara, selected the TA of the year by the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences. Caring is a great part of this award and of this you have plenty. You make us proud to have you in our group.
Our group was well represented at the Physical Organic Minisymposium, POMS in Montreal, with students presenting five contributions. Great opportunity to showcase our work, and to meet other students and colleagues.
