How can people not see that I don't understand. I'd rather have a compelling character over a titilating one.

This much-hated character, who happens to be one of my favorite video game characters of all time, looks like this for a reason. She’s designed to be a direct foil to Ellie, to play differently than her by being much more physically aggressive rather than using stealth and speed the way Ellie does, but her physicality also directly reflects the revenge mission that has shaped her life. her appearance perfectly fits her story and it’s exactly why casting a small skinny actress to play her in the live action didn’t work. She wasn’t believable as the intimidating physical presence that Abby is. Yet people are still mad that she isn’t hot enough, when being hot is in no way relevant to her character at all.

No. Horizon Zero Dawn, with a MC often called unattractive, outsold the entirety of the Soul Calibur franchise, which had a decades head start. In a single entry. This discourse has also given Naughty Dog the best free advertising campaign they could hope for. Also, everyone knows that the ones harping on attractiveness in games don't actually play games.

@ClaireMax @IXVegas @BobbyTimeclock @kitty_bit_games Some of the original concept art for horizon had Aloy as a skinny pixie like build (think tinkerbell) and I'm so glad they went to more realistic proportions over that. She has so much physicality to her in the final design.

@TheTrueVanguard Elf was a class when I first saw DnD (and I'm not talking about the cartoon). Or Sonic the Hedgehog was built into my first console so it would auto play if you didn't pop in another cartridge. The console also only cost £35 🫢

@TGrudges @BaronnKlatz Hey now... a block of like 30 with 5 characters in and loads of spell buffs are good... not for the points... or if any of the buffs fail to cast or are dispelled... but otherwise they are good... Obligatory fuck the chuds though.

@BaronnKlatz The woman KOTR on foot is funny cos GW specifically stated when they got revealed the head piece is optional and can have just all males if people want and they still get mad about it. They should be more concerned with the fact that foot knights are useless rules wise lol

@NornQueenKya @DYorgy Man I wish Exodites got actual models instead of variant Space Marine faction no 17. 2nd edition Aeldari codex is one of my favourite publications GW ever put out. Reading it now and Exodites have worse stats than Heavy Intercessors. Just some mild power creep over 20 years

@DYorgy Oh but Marines get to keep stuff that should have gone to Legends for any other army (basically anything firstborn) and Titus gets actual 40K rules but my beautiful Sisters model goes straight to Legends. Sucks being a non-marine player for sure.

@DYorgy Year of Chaos - Ultramarines alone get more models than almost the entirety of the 4 Chaos cult armies combined. Orktober still remembers 🤣
