OpenAI is shutting down Sora and dropping video features from ChatGPT. Disney was previously said to be investing $1B, licensing 200+ characters across Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars & more for use in ChatGPT and Sora.

@ScarFlaming @CammyCakesYT Hundreds of people aren't randomly good at 'hating' solo players - they do it deliberately, coldly, strategically as a marketing decision. Nor is the extraction genre wedded to that. Cammycakes points out the many nuances & deliberate decisions that contributed to this.

Marathon Solo I got through 90% of the progression, all priority contracts done, and all rook upgrades✅ Solo is very profitable & easy for both rush strategies and ratting. It allows for learning the map at your own pace at no expense to your team. I still wouldn't reccomend🧵

@yamabushido @CammyCakesYT Bungie doesn't "hate' solo players, they are just at their best making content designed around team play also extraction shooters as a genre, are just hostile towards solo play, when death is so punishing having a team is going to inherently make the game easier

@CammyCakesYT It's classic Bungie. Whereas they'll take solo players money & offer a passable "not recommended" experience, they once again want to lean into game marketing via informal friend referrals. So dispassionately they "hate" (like an AI "hates") solo players.

@CammyCakesYT Reason #7, I kind of can agree but I think the same is true in trios unless you have a dedicated friend group on the game, but in that case the "endgame" of trios is just shooting the shit with friends which you can do on any game, playing with friends will just be more fun

@CammyCakesYT Reason #6 I agree a lot here but its less to do with solos as a mode and more to do with assassin players, on the rarity I am in a match with little assassins I find solos more fun

@JonPerfetto @TauCetiGG for this reason Bungie can't just make small changes to D2 consistently, they can only do massive updates that address months worth of feedback all at once Marathon on the other hand is the opposite, its server based, so for many changes Bungie can change it immediately

@JonPerfetto @TauCetiGG ignore what the other person said its down to how D2 and Marathon work, D2 is mostly peer to peer, that means that for almost any change Bungie needs to do an actual game update, which for consoles needs to go through a lengthy verification process that can take weeks 1/2

@RobertJHimself @Wario64 actually not really, it uses the same stick modules as the PS portal, so repairing the controllers is cheap and takes no time at all don't even need to buy a poral for parts, 3rd party TMR sticks exist for the portal that work on the PSVR2
