Official Statement: ScarQuest Enters Development Pause We would like to inform everyone that ScarQuest’s development will be officially put on hold, and our game server will shut down on November 30, 2025. The ScarQuest team would like to express its sincere gratitude to our players, community members, and partners for their unwavering support throughout this journey. After extensive evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to pause active development of ScarQuest. The project will transition into a “sleep mode,” meaning that while the website may remain accessible, ongoing game development and updates will be placed on hold. This decision comes after the complete exhaustion of available funding. Despite our team’s best efforts and the successful delivery of a fully functional Web3 game, the current crypto gaming market has not provided the growth environment necessary to sustain further development. To clarify, this is not a closure: all game assets, systems, and data will remain intact and ready for reactivation should new funding or partnership opportunities arise. Our goal is to position ScarQuest for a potential future relaunch when market sentiment toward Web3 gaming improves. Over the course of its development, ScarQuest has not only built a game but also created meaningful opportunities for collaboration and employment across our international team. We take pride in what was achieved: a functioning product born from creativity, innovation, and dedication. We also want to emphasize that this decision reflects broader challenges within the Web3 gaming sector. Crypto gaming remains one of the most difficult markets to sustain, but we continue to believe in its long-term potential. ScarQuest will now remain on standby while we explore new partnerships, collaborations, and potential ventures within the broader gaming and blockchain ecosystem. Before the shutdown, we will release Import/Export Vouchers to help everyone secure and export their in-game assets. More details and instructions will be shared soon.
