The most common cause is overextension (right hand is extended while you're using your mouse or holding your phone) and is even more exaggerated by the natural asymmetry in our bodies that makes our right side dominant. Your body starts collapsing toward the right side and your hips also tilt laterally. Stretching, if done with the principle of "relaxed near the edge of discomfort", can help to remove the gross tension but stretching this one specific muscle that hurts won't really address the related postural mechanics because in practice, it's already "stretched". I think a sensible strategy is to be more mindful of your sitting posture, take frequent breaks, stand half the time you're supposed to be sitting, and try to sit on the floor when you can. From there, you can examine how your nervous system directs your posture, rather than thinking in terms of "tense muscles cause pain".
