AI doesn't really seem "intelligent" to me. It seems like it is just a huge database of everything loaded into it, with a program designed to chat to you. AI is not innovative or thinking up new original thoughts to take us to the next level. It is just regurgitating Reddit or whatever was loaded into it.

I’m a fan of many African dishes, so I did some research into what Mayor Fry was trying to choke down in his publicity stunt eating a weird brown mush at a Somali restaurant. Turns out it was “ambulo” a sweetened mix of adzuki beans and grain. Basically a mushy, beany porridge. The hilarious part is that EVEN THE SOMALIS considered it an “acquired taste”. They make kids eat it because it’s nutritious but it’s widely loathed. This makes me super happy because I now believe that the Somalis were punking Mayor Fry at the stunt to force him to pretend to like the stuff. Somalis have plenty of dishes Americans would probably like, such as fried lamb, cornbread, and lentil stew. They just didn’t serve that to the mayor for his photo op. I mean, just look at the Somali laughing his ass off ar Fry.

@Cernovich As a medic with 15 years treating overdoses, a common myth: most fentanyl addicts got hooked via doctors overprescribing painkillers. That's not accurate, many started recreationally, partying or experimenting, and the addiction spiraled from there. It's a terrible thing.

No one wants to hear it, but if your kid is an unrepentant druggie, for your own safety and the good of your family, you need to let him go his own way. Druggies are not helpless victims. They are calculating manipulators and exploiters.

If youre set up really well and are experienced, you can pull the hot food together in 20+ minutes. Once you add in all the other steps (prep, setting table, serving), you're looking at an hr.

All the wonderful things you loved about growing up were only possible because we were a more homogenous nation. Days at the mall, playing with friends at the park, suburban streets lit with July 4th fireworks, everyone wishing you “Merry Christmas!” Once normal, now vanishing.
