🚨 MAN FILMING A SHORTWAVE RADIO JUST CAUGHT THE U.S. GOVERNMENT’S ATOMIC TIME SIGNAL GLITCHING — AND NOW THE INTERNET WANTS ANSWERS A man recording his vintage shortwave radio suddenly locks onto WWV, the official U.S. atomic time broadcast run by the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Fort Collins, Colorado. The voice clearly announces: “16 hours, 0 minutes, Coordinated Universal Time.” But at that exact moment… the atomic clock sitting right next to the radio, synced to that same signal, shows a completely different time. Same broadcast. Same source. Two different times. WWV is supposed to be one of the master time signals used by aircraft, satellites, radio systems, and precision clocks around the world. So how can the official U.S. atomic time broadcast disagree with the clocks listening to it… at the exact same moment?
