I was also one of those kids who would just devour books. Library card was my best friend. It was ridiculous on hindsight IDK how I did it. I was making my way through the adult section and getting my parents to get those books out on their library cards by the time I was 11.
Moniza Hossain@moniza_hossain

When you’re a child who reads you will whizz through books at a rate that will leave adults flabbergasted. I used to go to the library every week and I had three library cards (my parents gave me their cards) so I was reading over 30 books a week

@LuciaLobosvilla You read a 310-page book as a child?

@whjnitis Like, there were loads of clips that could be used, and they could use heist/gangster music or something for some of the car/robbery scenes or some of the more tense stuff. Like. If you've ever seen Snatch or The Gentlemen. Could fit into that style trailer.

@whjnitis Maybe it's going to do the rounds a few film festivals first? I couldn't even find a trailer before the film premiere tbh, which I still find strange. And it's a movie that would make for a hilarious trailer!

@AleandoraS Had a chat with Peter Claffey at the Galway Film Fleadh (got him to sign something I drew as well) and yeah. I know the feeling. Sound lads, all of them.

@sequinghost He was so happy! He was smiling and chatting to everyone. Lots of hugs too! Unless he's always that way. Maybe he is!

@whjnitis I was wondering who he was leaning against when this one was taken! He's legit massive though. Broad shoulders. Like. TBH I didn't realize how big he was? Not until he was RIGHT FUCKING THERE y'know?

@whjnitis That’s the producer/writer in the middle. Peter said they’re friends who go way back and Peter wanted in on the film as soon as he saw the script . Lad on the right played Dorian, JJ’s younger brother.

@whjnitis He was also the one apparently most prone to ad-libbing on set. I could definitely see some Peter-isms in his character if that makes sense?

@whjnitis Someone in the audience asked the director if there was going to be a sequel and Peter practically bounced in place, grabbed the mic off of the director and launched into how hey asked the same fucking question. He looked like he had a good time filming this one!

@whjnitis Not yet but I do think it’ll get wider distribution too! Too many decent Irish actors not to. And I won’t lie it was surreal to see dunk and Caitlyn Stark share the screen you know? Very neat!

@whjnitis Lmao no in all seriousness I think he knew a load of people there. Afterwards he specifically said he was really happy this one premiered in his home town. So I think that was why too!

@whjnitis And there’s a scene where he’s in a leather jacket and dark sunglasses and leaning against a car and NGL the movie should be distributed for this scene alone.

@whjnitis Tries to do the right thing, be the big brother, screws it up a bit then inadvertently ends up being the big brother and inspiring/driving his younger brother forward.

@whjnitis Here works! His character is the oldest brother, so think, sibling with the most responsibility but also maybe not as smart as his brother Dorian. But also willing to break into the parish priests house and steal one of the 3 kings from the nativity there.

Peter Chaffee as JJ and Jacob McCarthy as Dorian were especially top notch. Zig and fucking Zag. Everyone knocked it out of the park. Really hope it gets wider distribution. Might be some jokes only Irish people would get but there’s plenty of humour that crosses over too.
