Shrine Bowl Player Spotlight: Kaeden Kasselman from Garden Plain will represent the West Side All-Stars in this year’s Kansas Shrine Bowl wearing #56. The 6’3”, 240-pound defensive end and offensive tackle was a key leader for the 8-3 2A regional champion Owls. Kasselman finished his senior season with 82 tackles, 4 sacks, and 17 tackles for loss, earning SIK First Team All-State recognition. A two-time SIK 2A Defensive Player of the Year finalist, Kasselman also excelled in basketball and track, earning all-state honors in both sports. “I’m very excited to play for this greater cause! I’m grateful for the opportunity to represent the Garden Plain community and play football one more time!” Kasselman shared. After high school, he will continue his athletic career at Fort Hays State University focusing on track and field. #sportsinkansas Photo: John Bloomquist
