Last week more than 40 students from throughout the 58th Senate District made the trip to Springfield to learn about state government and debate issues in a mock Senate committee hearing as part of my Youth Advisory Committee. Thanks to all the students who participated!

Today I had the solemn honor of helping to open the annual Memorial Day Wall of Remembrance at the Capitol, to help people remember those who gave their lives in the service of their country.
