A 7th grade group at @BoeckmanTigers created 3 different bridge designs to compare architectural strength. They made a Warren Truss, Bowstring, and a Double Intersection Warren. All 3 held 150 lbs from a bucket suspended underneath, way more than they thought possible! #pbl

Two 7th grade learners spent some of their Transitions class time this year working on designing and building a small oval coffee table. They finished staining today and only used 14 screws for the entire table! @DodgeTigers #isd192 #pbl

It’s finished! A group of 7th graders built an entire chess set from the pieces to the board! Each had a few different pieces to design using TinkerCAD. Along the way they learned about the history of the game and effective strategies. @BoeckmanTigers #isd192

Some learners recently finished The Stock Market Game. Even with the recent events they did a fantastic job and actually made 💰 (they started with 100K). Between @DodgeTigers & @BoeckmanTigers we had 4 teams place in the top 5 out to of 135 teams. The awards just showed up!

I posted a challenge last Friday to some learners to create a 3D Puzzle Cube using Tinkercad. This learner designed it, printed it themselves, made some adjustments because the pieces didn't fit, reprinted it and found success. They sent video as proof! 👏#isd192 @DodgeTigers

We had a learner present his personal project to the group today. His focus was on the North African front of WWII and focused on how tanks were used. He also built a Panzer4 tank model and used a spray gun to paint it. Pretty incredible! #isd192

Learners did a little hike/trash pickup around the trails today. We found a part of a shopping cart and filled a large trash bag full of plastic and glass bottles. Learners are doing there part to help clean up the area! #isd192 #fridayhike

A look at some questions learners are trying to solve as we begin our water rocket project. Biggest challenge: creating a remote controlled parachute that deploys at the flight’s apex. Lots of good conversations learners are having with each other. #isd192 #designthinking
