I remain confused how the MOU became such a surprise. A Notre Dame CFP threshold was reported a year and a half ago. It was background noise to expansion and we media didn’t know all the details, but we knew some. Did commissioners not inform their schools of the whole thing?

I’ll continue to say this, despite the misinformation coming from Notre Dame fans. The revelation about the MOU was a surprise. It was not received well. It will have, and is having, consequences. That’s my reporting and I’m confident in it 100%.
