Hawthorn Parents, Reminder that we will have an early dismissal on Tuesday and Thursday for Parent-Teacher Conferences. Dismissal Times: TK @ 12:30  K @ 12:40  1-3rd @ 1:30  4-8th @ 2:00 Oct. 31- No Student Attendance, MTV Conference

Hawthorn Picture Retakes will be held on Friday, October 24th. If you were not satisfied with your students pictures, absent on picture day(Aug. 29) or have a new student this is the day to have pictures retaken.

What a great day for a field trip!! Our Hawthorn 2nd graders made the trip to Markoots Creamery in Greenville on Wednesday and had the chance to learn about the dairy process and even got a chance to eat some ice cream to cap of a great day.

Was a special day in the Hawthorn Kindergarten classes yesterday having some firefighters here to talk about fire safety. Special thanks to firefighters Adam Purcell and Mike Anderson for taking the time to share with our students.

Congrats to the August/September CATS Kids at Hawthorn School!  Thank you boys and girls for a fantastic month of being tremendous examples of what a CATS Kid should be at school. Students had the opportunity to receive a special treat at the "Party With the Principal" at lunch.

Congrats to the Salem Bobcats for winning the Class L Regional Championship! Great crowd and support for the Bobcats on Saturday. Bobcat Spirit was so strong!!

Mrs. Cowgers class tried pumpkin and apple pie last Friday and then graphed what our favorite one was. Our class had a tie 6 pumpkin and 6 apple. Good stuff!!
