First, Twitter suspended the accounts of journalists who’d been critical of @elonmusk. Then it blocked users’ links to their accounts on other social media platforms. Maybe I’ll come back if and when a new CEO shows more presence of mind. But until then I’ll be on Mastodon.

Over the last few weeks, I lost about 5k followers, I am seeing the same tweets over and over again, I do not see tweets from many people I used to see, and today Twitter team sent me a message that my blue badge may be withdrawn because they reviewed my account as 'spam' 🤦🏻‍♀️

Not liberals, but "liberals." It bothers me how power struggles within the blue-red corporate uniparty transform complex philosophies into meaningless epithets. If you argue "censorship is good, actually," you are not a liberal. If you cheer for the FBI, you are not a liberal.

The Sinema thing is very simple. Her calculus is that 1. She can't win a primary; 2. If she runs as an independent who caucuses with the Dems, another Democrat can't run bc they would split the vote and give the seat to the Republicans.

I'm devastated by the loss of Grant Wahl. He was a peerless journalist and kind man whose coverage of soccer was fair an fearless. The best way all of us can honor him is do what he did throughout his distinguished career: Pursue the truth, without fear or favor, always.
