It robs Rosalina of her individuality. If you wanna make them sisters, you should show Rosalina’s loneliness without Peach and how that led to her becoming the mother of the Lumas like the OG storybook. Express deeper familial themes relating the sibling bond of the Bros to them.

the fact that peach’s past was addressed in this movie and didn’t just end up being a thing they never brought up again makes me think that whatever that evil force was is gonna be adresssed in the new movie and im Freaking the hell out because it could literally be anything

Omggg I would've LOVED that. It would've made Mario and Peach's story way more romantic and gave Rosalina a more fitting role. It was that easy. Plus, Peach still could fight at the end!

@APPictures9 The novel about Yoshi is such a good idea!! I really wanted him to fight together with Yoshi at the end to complete their character arc :/ it would be even better if it was against the 8bits and Wart, which leads to Birdo's eventual reform.

They could’ve given this a more satisfying conclusion where Toad fights alongside Yoshi in the climax (instead of staying with Fox on the Observatory) and maybe even a payoff where Toad decides to write a novel about him and Yoshi (the movie established Toad being a writer).
