Do you know what I don’t understand? Radio advertising. Never once in my life have I heard something advertised on the radio and either googled it or bought from it. I find it baffling companies pay for it.

@__scottsaunders He’s nearly 35 now and playing in a relatively poor team. For about 5 years from 2018 to 2023 everything carragher says there is true. Prime VVD is the best CB this league has seen. And during his prime years there wasn’t another active centre back who was even close to him.

It's a "look at me, I'm cool and too bad you have to wait on me" thing. It's selfishness. It's definitely not smart driving. When your car moves forward, the steering wheels are up front, and they make a greater change to the direction of the car. Forward always = more control, by design. Pulling into a small spot, you want more control. When your car move backward, the steering wheels are in the rear, and they make a much smaller change to the direction of the car. Backward always = less control, by design. (This is why it takes a person four times as long to back into a space as it does to pull in forward.) Pulling into a larger space, you need less control. So pull in forward into a small space where you have more control and back out into the larger space where you have more room and less control. This is the only sensible option.
