Matthew Hollingham has done it! His Arctic to Africa challenge is over. He’s in Tangier after 3,500 miles starting with a swim across the Arctic Circle at the end of May. Then 37 daily marathons, almost 2,500 miles cycling and - on the final day - an unplanned additional marathon after non-stop flat tyres. Thank you to everyone who has supported him. Link below still live.

Great piece by Daily Mirror on student Matthew Hollingham’s fundraising tribute in honour Lovisa Arnesson-Cronhamre - who died aged 25. #amp-readmore-target" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/m…

Final day of Matthew Hollingham’s world’s longest Ironman triathlon. Cycle rethink after three flats this morning so he’s switched to running a marathon… it’s midday. Hence the not too happy expression. Plus his legs are atuned to cycling now. Eek. So close... but he’ll do it.

Tomorrow in Tangier, my son PhD student Matthew Hollingham will complete the world’s longest Ironman triathlon. Four time World Ironman champion Chrissie Wellington says: ‘This is a mindbendingly epic feat.’ All for charity to honour the fiancee he lost in 2023. Links below.

I’ve been in Germany supporting my son Matthew Hollingham on his epic Arctic to Africa triathlon for charity this last week but saw some lovely contributions for #wildflowerhour
