FWIW, we don't intend to publish negative reviews of books on our blog. There are many reasons for this, but among them 1) reading and writing is a lot of work and this is a labor of love--i.e. we don't get paid. Why spend that much time and energy on something we dislike?

Just got another @X response asking why so many @StarTrek actors are "horribly political". This amuses me, as these complainers never call actors who express opinions that they like "horribly political"; rather "smart" [as they, no doubt, see themselves.] I happen to think "smart" is something very different than they do, which is my right. And I hope it remains my right after NOV 5th. That's why I support candidates who DON'T promise to be a "dictator on Day 1 " and that, if they win, there "wont't be any more voting" after this coming election. There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy. Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt, and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics. Michelle and I are wishing him a quick recovery.

@owlbookworld We did 3x per week for 5 years. Earlier this year, I had a mental health crisis that continues to keep me mostly shelved. I liked the regulatory nature of our 3x posting, but I'm not back to that point yet.
