@cratloens Míle Buíochas. Neasa left her imprint on so many lives.

We have wonderfully warm memories of Neasa who taught at Cratloe NS in the late 1980s. Neasa and colleague Noelle were the first teachers to introduce the Nativity Play at Christmas in our school. She left a great legacy here & made many friends amongst staff and pupils.

Our 6th classes invited in a number of Mayoral candidates to speak to them during the campaign and then voted themselves. They too thought that @moranjohna1 was the person best suited to the job. Thanks to all those who took the time to meet and speak with the children.#Democracy

Fourth class children from Brontë planned and organised their own school day. This involved a baking masterclass, soccer matches and walk in the locality. They displayed great teamwork and leadership skills and had lots of fun in the process!

The 6th Class Charity Speeches Competition is a flagship project andconcluded today with ten groups speaking on behalf of their chosen charities. Congrats to all the groups who presented & to those who spoke on behalf of @ChildhoodCanIre 🥇@epilepsyireland 🥈@AsIAmIreland 🥉

The author and friend of ours, @roisinmeaney visited Room 9 today and told stories of quiet boys, rainbows & cats. The children were captivated ! Míle buíochas Roisin for giving us your time and inspiring the children to imagine & swing on stars !

Well done to all the speakers who presented "The Oldest Thing in my House" this morning in front of a packed Halla. It's one of our favourite projects in the school, marrying tech and history and it never ceases to amaze us what families have in their homes. @OideTechinEd

Our Junior Infants went to @UL for their 1st school tour last Friday and had a wonderful time.

We could not have asked for a better day for Duathlon 2024. Well done to all our participants. Didn't they do so well! Thanks to all the staff who helped keep the show on the road and for all our families and friends for such great support. #FitForLife

Our Outdoor Classroom is looking so well these days. It's great to have this space and thanks to all our classes who maintain it throughout the year.

3rd Classes, Rooms 16 and 18 enjoyed a lovely walk along the banks of the Shannon River yesterday morning. They enjoyed  a picnic in @UL before returning to school! All children were well able for the 8.5k walk. #FitForLife
