Yr12 Engineers trip today to Liverpool John Moores University, our students took part in exciting activities around the fantastic Engineering facilities. They were also given a lecture on the new Formula Student electric racing car!

Our Scoot66 apprentices have been busy fitting customers tubeless tyres today!

The Scoot66 apprentices are bringing our Lambretta RB200 Powered Sprint machine back to life. So far so good!

Back to basics this week! Students learning the importance of the fundamentals. Great fun too!

Thanks to all who attended our ‘Dyno session’ on Saturday morning. Our Engineering students Radek & Ruben worked so hard safely maintaining the exhaust fume extraction system. Although we did have to end the session early due to software issues with our machine.

Azaan Yr13 has been continuing his rider training today on our 250cc racing machine. Well done so far Azaan. We love the smell of Two stroke in the morning!! 😅

Well done to former NLA student Francis Lawlor on becoming a ‘Master Technician’ at Harley Davidson. Since 2012 Francis has been a fully qualified Motorcycle Mechanic after he gained an apprenticeship at Revolution Scooters Liverpool while studying Vehicle Technology Level 3.

Azaan Yr13 Engineering student continued with his rider training today in preparation for our first sprint of the 2023 motorsport season.

I was extremely proud today on how three of our Engineering students represented NLA/Scoot66 live on air during their HCR 92.3fm radio interview. well done lads!

Ford Crossflow engine service/repair update! Cooling system now drained/flushed and refilled. All good so far, well done lads!

Our Scoot66/Engineering students latest project is to service & repair a Ford Crossflow engine. This demonstration engine has not run since before lockdown. Good luck lads!

Yr 8 took part in 'I'm an Engineer, I can get out of Heeeeeere!' As an end of term activity recalling the names and use of tools and equipment to collect the yellow stars! Well done Yr 8! @NorthLivAcademy #InShot

Year 10 Engineering students had a chance at playing NLA’s version of I’m a Celebrity! They had to guess the tools they had been using in recent practical lessons. Well done to Mr Bell’s class who won overall.

On Friday our Engineers visited the School of Engineering at @LJMUengineering. We had a fantastic time learning about their university courses and using their facilities! We were the first students who got to use their new VR cave also! @NorthLivAcademy

Our Yr12/13 Engineering students visited Liverpool JM University racing team workshops today, a very inspirational afternoon for our own Scoot66 racing team!

Fantastic way to end the half term with the YR 10 Pit Stop Challenge! 🚗🔧 Great team work, resilience and engineering skills shown by all three groups! Well done! 👏👏👏 @NorthLivAcademy
