@Koos_C @ATLHeadband Yeah. Keep hitting. There is no slaughter rule, and players have incentives for BA, HRs, plate appearances, etc., so they don't want to give up an at-bat when they can pad those stats.

@Cameron_Skers @BriskerSZN Saying "they" backed you into a corner is laying blame on ATL. The only party to blame here is the league. Six previous times a minority was hired as GM for a team where they reported to a higher executive and the league awarded the picks (see below). Now, they deny the picks.

The #Bears have been lobbying for draft pick compensation following the hire of Ian Cunningham as #Falcons GM. Today, the NFL responded stating there will be no picks coming: “The matter is now closed following the club’s appeal. The NFL informed the Bears today they will not receive compensatory picks. The policy is designed to provide picks for the Primary Football Executive position. The League determined Mr. Cunningham did not fill that role with the Falcons as it is defined in League rules.”

@Cameron_Skers @BriskerSZN Yes, Ryan took the position and hired Cunningham to thwart the Bears from getting two comp picks. Here's a fun fact: Rich McKay was the top football executive when we hired Terry Fotenot away from the Saints under the same circumstances, and NO got their two comp picks.

@ScootersBaba @BriskerSZN Because they gave Matt Ryan a make a wish position. Matt Ryan literally said he has nothing to do with the operations of building the team. Yet he’s considered a higher executive than Ian. Ian went from Assistant GM to GM, a for sure promotion, but Matt Ryan cockblocked us

If you hire a black guy, the team he came from gets Two, 3rd Round Picks. BUT! If you choose to just randomly name your old QB a President and give him a pure vibes-only position, you are free to hire anyone without awarding picks to your opponent.

I have dealt with the Top 3 largest food distributors in America; Sysco, US Foods, and Performance Foods.
I was most definitely not a “Mom & Pop.” I owned a mid-sized food manufacturing/distribution company that I sold in 2024.
And Mark isn’t wrong. This is what US Foods and Sysco have done for years. They buy up Mom & Pop to create a monopoly on goods. Capitalism at its core. That’s why a burger from 7 different chains tastes the same—all procured from the same distributor.
MAGA is just too fucking dumb to realize what’s happening.

This isn’t a small deal. Restaurant Depot is where most mom & pop restaurants go to buy inventory because Sysco is so expensive. Restaurant Depot was privately owned. Sysco is owned by… you guessed it, BlackRock & Vanguard. Now private equity can control pricing for food costs with zero competition. Just like they did with housing. This should be an anti-trust violation, but we have politicians that work for Big Corp, not us.

@Mike_Haracz While Sysco does sell premade/frozen products that some places reheat and serve, Sysco also provides raw meat, fish, etc., vegetables, fruits, seasonings, and more that restaurants can use to create scratch dishes. It's mostly an Instacart grocery store for restaurants.
