Hey Z5, you promised the FIFA World Cup in 4K, but there's no 4K option on the app yet. The highest quality available is Full HD. When can viewers expect the 4K stream?

They haven't completely removed the downgrade in the number of screens per plan.
Instead they are now offering it as an early bird deal.
After 10pm today, it would get fixed at 1 screen for 799 and 2 screens for 1699

But in reality, they have now reduced the no of devices.
3-month plan: 3➡️1
1-year plan: 4➡️2
Also, according to them, you can't even stream in Full HD in your browser.
This is pathetic to say the least.

Had it been Jiohostar streaming it, 4k or 1080p with HDR could've still been an option. I just hope zee doesn't downgrade and compress the frame rate. That would ruin the whole experience.

Zee can technically advertise upto 4K because the Zee5 library (movies and TV) which is included in this plan can stream at 4K.
They've never said FIFA would be streamed at 4K.

@NassXAC @IndiaSportsTV Before fifa world cup, this plan was the same. It had a label called " All Access + Sports pack" with the same specifications for 3 months. They just changed the name. That doesn't mean it the world cup is being broadcasted in 4k. Zee has confirmed themselves officially.

There are viewers for Football, Hockey even Tennis & Volleyball. Advertising is shaped by English-speaking urban agencies, far distant from sports cultures and fan realities. Every federation wants to copy IPL. Sports broadcasting is being controlled by Bollywood experts & so on

@IndiaSportsTV At least i hope they can do 59.45/60fps. Even UCL streamed in 1080p but 50fps. So it looked really good. If you can get a confirmation on the fps then that would be helpful
