@Scott3915Scott I just don't see the two offences as remotely comparable. And the whole 50% off for mitigation is complete nonsense as well. I'd rip up the framework and start again. It's a shambles.

So he said one swear word in a calm fashion to the officials as they walked past him. And gets the same length ban as someone who got done for eye-gouging the following week. Nothing wrong at all with rugby's disciplinary system. telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/20…

@markismith50 I suppose the consistency is that intentional contact with eyes is a low end entry point of 12 weeks not like 6 weeks for MOA

@Scott3915Scott If one swear word gets the same ban as an eye gouge, then that's not the kind of consistency I want.

@markismith50 If you judge on merit you will never have consistency and parity across the game. Let’s not forget these Regulations apply (in England) from Prem to a local vets team. Surely we have to have consistency!

@Scott3915Scott Probably start at one game and judge each case on its merits. Part of me thinks something as passive as this doesn't need to be written up in any report. One heat of the moment swear word and a swift apology between grown-ups. But I appreciate you won't agree, which is fine.

@markismith50 In regards to the regulations. Let’s say you can rewrite them. What’s an appropriate low end entry point for Match Official Abuse?

@Scott3915Scott I don't think the regulations are fit for purpose. And what consequences did the officiating team receive for a result-defining blunder? Seemingly free to carry on, all involved the next week with no admission of anything from anybody. Do they even acknowledge the mistake?

@markismith50 I can’t comment on the sanction of match officials as I don’t know their process for dealing with issues, but agree it looks like nothing has happened which doesn’t seem right.

@markismith50 And given he has already completed a ref course, and still did this I don’t think that’s an option

@Scott3915Scott Probably two or three games, and made to go on a refereeing course (he has already done the course, to be fair).

KNDS is offering its Dingo 3 protected mobility vehicle in 4x4 and 6x6 configurations for the British Army’s Land Mobility Programme. More than 1200 Dingo’s are presently in service with 10 user nations. Dingo 3 is the latest version of a proven platform offering increased performance, increased payload, and many other refinements. Dingo provides unmatched protection in its weight class with an armour solution fully validated by operational use in multiple theatres, including Afghanistan, Mali, and Ukraine. Based on the Mercedes-Benz Unimog chassis it offers excellent mobility in all off-road conditions. If Dingo is selected by the British Army, all vehicles would be manufactured and supported in the United Kingdom. Ultimately, Dingo, together with Boxer, reflects aspirations of the Anglo-German Trinity House agreement and KNDS’s commitment to becoming a UK strategic partner for armoured vehicles. Our goal is to create a sustainable long-term business that supports British skills, British jobs and a local supply chain, while providing the Army with the equipment it needs to defend the Nation’s interests.

Here’s my issue with new red card law. In case of Ringrose tackle, ref gives a yellow & he’s already done best part of 10 mins in sin bin before it’s upgraded to a 20 min red. So really it’s a 1/2 hour card, not a 20 min one. Law needs reviewing. #GuinnessM6N
