@Scobleizer @elonmusk If the AI prompt requests people of color to be included in a historical picture that is completely fine & valid. I just don’t think AI changing historical pictures on its own, without direction, is the best path for anyone. This is coming from a leftist.

@Scobleizer @elonmusk I like your energy here. Anyone getting mad at an Artist, or AI, for making art is reactionary & borderline fascist. The only real problem is if the person writing the AI prompt asks for the historical picture or they ask for the historical picture to be created with PoC.

Should we change history to include more people? I see many, including @elonmusk, who are decrying Google's latest AI which changes historical scenes and depictions to change white male people to others. It's almost like people are proud of our racist past, which included slavery. I want you to look at this photo. It is of the final completion of the transcontinental railroad. This event gave Leland Stanford the wealth to start Silicon Valley. But where are the people who actually built the railroad? Mostly Chinese crews built it. Where are they? Racist attitudes that existed at the time kept them out of the party, and out of the photo. The Chinese that built the railroad were no ordinary workers. They were explosive pioneers, true innovators. They set the record for most miles of track laid in one day. Maybe someone should take out the white people, who didn't build the railroad, and put the people who actually did build the railroad, in instead. See, I'm one of those "woke" people. If you study history you will see many such examples where white people made the history to only include them. So now if AI goes too far the other way and makes scenes and history include others don't expect me to join in your crying. If it makes you feel better about yourself, go ahead and call me "woke." But photos and other historical accounts/documents have often been lies that reflect racist attitudes. If you are gonna get mad about Google, well, then, you should be mad about this. But the "anti-woke" crowd is not. Which tells me all I need to know.

@Scobleizer @elonmusk @grantweston While your setup is slick, I do not see it the same way. I have been a long time Hootsuite, & before that Tweetdeck user. Elon acquiring one of them & putting free functionality behind a paywall is lame. Elon elevating posts/comments to those who pay more is lame. Elon is lame.

Now do you get why @elonmusk bought Twitter? Here I am using X Pro (formerly known as Tweetdeck) while at a Tesla supercharger in my Apple Vision Pro. I was doing a FaceTime call with my producer, @grantweston and playing music too. He told me he didn’t hear any music even when I turned it up to a pretty high volume. Each column is a list. I am the only human to map out the entire AI industry for you here: x.com/scobleizer/lis… Add my lists to your account then go to pro.twitter.com and add them there as columns. Oh, and here you can see another frustration. Liking posts is often very difficult for me. I am sure that will get fixed but for now it is more early adopter pain. If you started X over by using first principles I would radically rethink X for use in vehicles. But, for now, this is pretty damn awesome.

@RickVanover Been there many times. While I use Bitwarden for every personal & family password, I find getting people in a lab/dev environment to use it with me next to impossible 😂

I know you are not supposed to do this, but there is a password for use in a lab I use that I know only by muscle memory. I absolutely have to look it up if I need to do something other than type it. I know it by muscle only, basically encrypted!

Really good write up from Gartner VP on the Cisco + Nutanix partnership. With the Broadcom acquisition of VMware closing, & customers renewals increasing exponentially, this marks a huge turning point in the data center space. Many details to come but huge W @RajivRamaswami

@cstalhood We wanted to avoid seperate LDAP and Session Policies per domain because we have quite a few... I tried a space and NULL in base dn field but neither worked. Any other ideas how to make it query all child domains if a GC?

@cstalhood Thats how I currently have it setup, aaadebug shows user not found when logging in from child domain. Hoping we would just point to Root domain's DC/GC and it would find users in all child domains. Is that possible with one LDAP policy, or need to be separate LDAP pol per child?

@cstalhood Is there any way to have a single LDAP Pol support multiple sub-domains by pointing to the root DC? Or is issue the base DN needs to be unique to each sub-domain?
