Players are drawing a distinction between Bowness’ “not hating to lose” and, what they feel is more “learning how to win.” Captain Boone Jenner taking questions now, also taking issue w the “they don’t care” narrative, This, of course, may only strengthen Bowness’ contention. 2/2

@ScottCottos Some places immediately see “no bachelors degree” and you’re out. I know a few people with a college degree who are awful at their job….terrible people skills…yet the guy with no degree working for them would make a much better manager….

@jcs0910 Exactly. When they put something on a job board, it's like creating a lottery. How do they guess who to interview when they can't see how a person presents his/herself?

@jcs0910 I think in the last few weeks I've encountered every undesirable circumstance possible, including applications that take a couple of hours to finish. There are some jobs that I really wouldn't want that badly.

Part of me agrees, seeing as I grew up in a past era. The other part says let the kids -- and older players -- enjoy themselves. The whole reason you play ball is to have fun, right?

Bat almost hits him in the face after the spike, then all the "look at me" antics, and you gotta love the cameraman on the field running with the kid. What a joke. It's all a show...🤦🏼♂️

Good on him. Sometimes the blame needs to be placed exactly where it belongs. I've often referred to the Blue Jackets as the Browns of the NHL. I'd love to see Monken do something like this if necessary. Browns players haven't been called out nearly enough.
