(3) Early Access w/ Rewards! This is how I got it, offered early access to the site, first access and first opportunity! My site is a marketplace so this worked especially well for sellers to get setup first! I even 3D printed our logo and early access users got it!

(2) Get those users engaged, you have their emails, market towards them! Continue getting sign-ups and keep them thinking about your launch. Countdowns work great for this!

(1) Validate while building, whether that's building in public or promoting before you launch. Make a simple landing page with email sign up. Get sign ups before launch!
