Is that Jesse Duplantis? The guy who says that God comes to him for advice? Who claims to have found a downcast Jesus in his office and spent the day cheering him up? Who lives in a 32,000-square-foot "house," and owns multiple personal jets? Yeah, we need to be taking theological lessons from one of the world's leading "Christian" frauds.

A simple New Testament survey will show that this false teacher is wrong. Does he want to go toe-to-toe with someone? Libertarian Free Will survives only if you ignore Scripture’s actual anthropology. The Bible does not describe man as a morally neutral chooser with contrary power suspended above his nature. It describes man as blind, hostile, enslaved, unable, and needing a new heart. When God saves, He does not merely provide opportunity. He gives life, grants faith, and brings about obedience, and works in the willing itself. That is not LFW. That is the will acting according to nature under God’s sovereign power.

That line misunderstands Calvinism. Calvinists do not believe God is unwilling to save people. We believe the Bible teaches that all sinners naturally resist God, and that salvation happens only because God graciously intervenes and brings people to faith in Christ. They affirm that the Gospel should be preached to everyone and that anyone who comes to Jesus will be saved. The difference is that they see salvation as ultimately rooted in God’s mercy and power rather than human decision or effort (Romans 9:16-23).

I love Mormons, but I will not lie to them and pretend that their religion is Christianity. Their religion does NOT accept these truths: 1. The Bible is the only word of God 2. God's nature is triune 3. Jesus is eternal & wasn't created 4. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ alone.

The world is not drifting from the church. The world is being the world. The question is, is the church being the church?

Mourning the sudden passing of my brother in the faith, Mike Mountford, who passed from his sleep into glory last night. He so loved to share the gospel, read theology, and hear preaching on the sovereignty of God. He is alive with his Savior Jesus Christ today (John 11:25).
