Just woke up in Los Angeles to the news that I’ve been elected as the new leader of the NDP and that my band Mouth Congress and our new album ‘Valley of Song ‘ swept the Juno Awards. Turns out all I had to do was play the sleep card. It’s all so overwhelming I don’t know where to start. I’ll make a proper statement once I’ve had my barium enema and a robust looksmaxxing session. Then I’ll get to work. As President Whitmore once said 30 years ago on the steps of Parliament wearing nothing but a simple pashmina and a chastity cage, ‘Today is my Independence Day.’
