@JimDonaldsonJr My pet peeve is the unending eligibilty, transfers, redshirts and waivers. A player like Drew Pyne: ND (3 yrs.) ASU (1 yr) now at MIzzou with 3 years of eligibility remaining. Eligible for 7 fall seasons….makes zero sense. I certainly don’t fault Pyne rather the system.

Always amused when TV announcers identify a player as a "true freshman." I'd rather they identify the (rare) players who are "true students."

@JimDonaldsonJr @Patriots I do recall they went to and won Sbowls with QBs like Hostetler and Rypien…. not exactly household names. We could go on forever …but #TomBrady coattails created more millionaires than silicon valley…..just ask Weiss, Crennel, Patricia, Judd et al.

@Scott_Meehan @Patriots You might recall, Scott, that, in 11 seasons without #TomBrady as his QB, #BillBelichick has won exactly one playoff game. Compare that record with, for example, Joe Gibbs (3 SBowls w/3 QBs), Bill Parcells (3 SBowls, 3 QBs) and Don Shula, who only had 2 losing seasons.

The defense is without Judon and Barmore. The OL is suspect, especially at tackle. The WRs aren't exciting. At QB, they have a veteran journeyman and a rookie. The head coach is in his first year on the job. Not many reasons right now to be optimistic about @Patriots this season.
