@GarethE43671959 Don't see anything wrong with this bringing a young guy to bleed him in and give him some experience. Players will be training in warm weather they will need breaks

@ScottishNT_army If the 3 keepers were fit then this wouldn’t be needed. Honestly this baffles me how stupid this coach thinks we are

Steve Clarke has said that he was unhappy a recent conversation he had with snubbed Hull City striker Oli McBurnie became public: “I thought that was a private conversation. He [McBurnie] should not have gone public. “It’s just the way I work, I tend to stick with players I’ve had before. I trust them.” McBurnie, who has scored 17 Championship goals this season, recently revealed to the press that he had called Clarke to ask about his international chances prior to Scotland’s March meetup.

If anyone deserves a World Cup call up it's 43-year-old Craig Gordon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Hearts keeper will be the oldest player at the tournament and could become the second oldest footballer to play in football's most premiere competition after Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El Hadary, who was 45 at Russia 2018. The decision is heavily merited too as one of Scotland's greatest ever keepers who has gone through extreme highs and lows to be part of his country's first World Cup finals squad since 1998. Gordon missed out on the Euros in 2024 due to lack of game time after suffering an awful double leg break in late 2022 while in 2020 he was in the squad, but didn't make it onto the pitch. Now, Scotland manager Steve Clarke has given him the chance to make that World Cup dream a reality. At the age of 43, Gordon joins a club of veterans at this year's World Cup, alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edin Džeko and Guillermo Ochoa. It's uncertain if he will start ahead of Angus Gunn, but regardless, the fact Gordon is going at all is a fantastic testament to his longevity, perseverance and quality. Hugely deserved 👏

@ScottishNT_army @scotball_ O’Donnell has been outstanding and could have been in ahead of Ralston (or as well as), Calvin Miller looked good this season too and Harry Milne should have been in as he’s been really good. Can play anywhere too!!

Ross Stewart in and Lennon Miller out the two headlines. Gutted for Miller but there’s no doubt in my mind he’ll be shining for Scotland on the big stage in the future. Given the number of defenders and strikers I think it’s likely we see a 3-5-2 against Morocco and Brazil.
