Nick Khan noted that the Netflix - WWE deal happened when Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro were in touch with Netflix. Netflix was reluctant about getting into live programming. Ari and Mark called Nick and said to go meet with the Netflix execs in person.
Once they were all in a room together, it was a quick process that was quickly approved by all the heads of Netflix.
