@Scouts_Out2 @snapper421 @MrColionNoir Wrong, SAAMI pulls their measurement with a transducer set at mid case and CIP pulls their measurement at the case mouth. Obviously you're gonna get a higher number at the end of the bottleneck, that's why the bottleneck is there

A Vietnam vet said I don’t know what I’m talking about… because I said the AR-15 is NOT more powerful than the M4.
Let that sink in.
I responded to a veteran who made the claim that the AR-15 is more powerful than the standard military issue M4.
Then another vet came behind him and basically said I’m the one who doesn’t know guns.
Here’s the problem:
Respect for your service and being factually right are not automatically the same thing.
The modern civilian AR-15 is semi-auto only.
The M4 can do more.
Same basic platform. Same round.
So how exactly is the civilian rifle somehow “more powerful”?
It isn’t.
And this is exactly how bad gun arguments spread — people hear confidence, emotion, and credentials… and assume that means the facts are solid.
So I want to hear from y’all:
Should veteran status protect somebody from criticism when they’re wrong about guns?
Comment:
YES if you think service changes the conversation
NO if facts are facts no matter who says it
And be honest —
Would you have called this out too, or stayed quiet because he’s a Vietnam vet?

That's your nuclear plant being hit by the hammer of god. And after that, you contained it. You took the hand fate dealt you and you played it with everything you had. You had workers volunteering to be heroes, to stay and fight to shut that thing down. And you saved... everyone. Not a single clearly connected death. In the middle of a natural disaster that cost you fifteen thousand souls, your people fought this thing and won. Chernobyl is something for Russians to be ashamed of, because that was their own screwup, and stupid communists can't do anything right. Fukushima wasn't your screwup. Fukushima happened to you. And your men stopped it. Fukushima is not your national shame. It is one of your finest hours.
