OTD September 10,1957, Liechtenstein commemorated the 50th anniversary of Scouting with a se-tenant pair of stamps (SC # 315-6) issued in a sheetlet of 12 (SC # 316a) with 1 stamp featuring Lord Baden-Powell, founder of Scouting.

OTD - September 3, 1976, the Longs Peak Council, BSA, held its Jambo at Cheyenne, Wyoming, with Boy Scouts from Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming participating. This cover shows the special slogan cancel for the event with a corresponding handstamp cachet.

OTD September 1, 1959, this Boy Scout cachet (Levy-Rogers # 59-60a) by the Dekalb District Choccolocco Council was issued for the 11th National BSA Training Conference at the Univ of Michigan. There are over 100 Scout cachets from 1959 documented at sossi.org.
