@AndrewJ626 Good. The last thing a mortal Kombat anything should have is attempting to have a story.

@kisskissgrlz While this is true, Levi can become violent if the player attacks him, then he really locks in at the moment. If you try to escape or try to negotiate, he will continue trying to eliminate you because now he considers you a threat. I love how he slips into combat mode like that.

An aspect of Levi that i personally like a lot is that despite being a war veteran and addict, he isn't violent at all, opposite infact. He doesn't even attack Caligura as he's tormenting him, and in his moonscorch form he is a terror who only has one move, to shoot

@Just_Harlequin @morphwx It has but even the weakest seasons has their strong moments and when they are strong, they are STRONG. Especially with A-Train (the GOAT, truly great and precise redemption arc).

“there was a kid there. His eyes were like 'holy shit.' Looking at me, like I was a hero. There were no screaming fans, no cameras. Nobody even knew, except for this one kid... That felt better than anything that I had ever done at Vought, 'cause for once, I didn't hate myself.”

I’m convinced that The Boys season 5 is a social experiment made by the writers guild of America to prove why the writers strike had to happen

@ANIM0NK @Rohkesss @SpeckObst If anything, adapting video games to cinema screens will often be a degrading process. With games you not only view the story, you take part in it. Film adaptations lose the interactivity making these films just shallow copies of original games.

@ANIM0NK @Rohkesss @SpeckObst Why not? It’s related to this universe, the film takes place in Raccoon City. It’s an original story in familiar setting. IMHO those games don’t need adaptations because we already have games. Visual playable experience.

@Rhyfel4815 @SMGold_ While the approach is great, Fallout is a bad example because it tears down what exists in the games rather than builds upon it.

@SMGold_ Exactly why the Fallout series is so appreciated and successful, it tells it's own story, without being too shackled by a character's long history. It builds upon what exists in the games but goes in its own directions

@Rohkesss @SpeckObst Why? Like, genuinely? You have the original games, you have remakes. Both are cinematic enough. I understand adapting books to films but games (especially RE) don’t need that.

@SpeckObst We want them to adapt the games not just make up random stories and slap the resident evil name on it

@Bunstellamere What a quirky looking character!!! I’m sure he is a lovely kind-hearted ringmaster! :> Genuine question, though: what would his behaviour be? I think it would be fitting for this Caine to still be somewhat humorous. Less hyper energetic but still funny which can be kinda creepy.

@Lucayou7 So why not change her whole religion altogether? if she is a nature goddess, let her be a CoTBG follower, for example. That would be more fitting, I think.

@Lucayou7 There is that dichotomy with her being a cursed succubus and a holy girl. It's gross but it just works better. I also believe it would be better for rewrite to keep that duality but Christianity doesn't actually create a proper clashing of her nature and her beliefs.

Talita Dospaço is my Wife
What I really like about the SCP-166 rewrite is that it was still able to get across the idea of Meri’s existence being “sinful” without going the gross, gratuitous, surface level route of the original. Her being an anomaly, not fitting the Foundation’s definition of normal-

@roquereptil_1 I’m not gonna argue Caine isn’t really REALLY selfish and self-absorbed but he is also a faulty program with a mind equivalent to that of a child. I would cut him some slack.

@roquereptil_1 While true, what would be the alternative? Without Caine they would just exist in this empty boring void they can’t escape. Him lying to them is shitty but he is also a prisoner to his programming. He needs to entertain people or he starts to malfunction.

@BowlOfSpagooter @roquereptil_1 I think this means he considers abstraction as them leaving him. It’s not two outcomes, it’s the same outcome as his narcissistic and selfish mind comprehends them.

@roquereptil_1 @Bunnyfarmz But the thing is he’s not their captor. He doesn’t trap them there and himself is the prisoner of the digital space. They existed in a weird symbiosis with people getting entertainment to not abstract and Caine getting to fulfill his purpose as a creative AI.
