Let me be the 1st to congratulate Illinois on a great season. They should be very proud. Just making it this far is a huge accomplishment for them. No reason to hang their heads. it varies by school. there's only like 4 schools that can pay a lot, and another 5 or 6 that can pay anything close to that consistently.
So if you're in the portal right now, you probably want to ink your deal first/sooner because the significant options dry up fast
