On November 1st, The Animus Society™ art salon & speakeasy will reopen its magical doors, following a triumphant première in May. Cloistered within the confines of a 15th-century monastery, this hidden jewel extends the vision of Animus Hall™, a monument to historic architecture and contemporary vision, forging a new paradigm. AnimusLive™ cornerstone Assistant Producer @fraydikyt will coordinate this epic night. Exquisite Animus Co-host @CECILIESTURICH and Poet Laureate @blockmuse will return. The Animus Society™ is exclusively for those drawn to beauty, mystery, and meaning. The journey begins at a secret entrance where curated Art is displayed on meter-high digital screens flanking the marble staircase leading up to the inner door. Guests then descend the Ritual Stairs, a journey as symbolic as physical. They move from the surface world into an illuminated substratum. Each step marks the passage from darkness to enlightenment, from the superficial to profound understanding. Atmosphere, conversation, music, and delightful performances by Singers, Dancers, and Poets intertwine to form an ever-evolving tapestry. Guests enter a hidden realm, encouraging one another to explore, embrace, and ascend. Within this haven, each distinct environment reveals a facet of the soul: The Parlour exudes Prohibition-era glamour, vanity, and intimacy. The Mirage, an exotic Persian bathhouse, shimmers with copper, illusion, and desire. The Crypt, emanating a heightened serenity, boasts priceless artifacts and whispers of Shakespeare. The Marquis Room, with echoes of Gatsby-esque elation, welcomes all who wish to dance and be merry. Each room is a living canvas of thought and sensation, where the line between self and story disappears. This is not an event. It is an encounter with what lies within each of us. A delicate dance unfolds. Artists and muses, collectors and creators, dreamers and visionaries. Delve into part of my childhood through digital collage.
This collection of artwork is centered around postcards, inspired by the memories of travelling with my parents as a young child. Postcards have become a lasting symbol of those journeys small, tangible fragments of places once visited, carrying both imagery and emotion. I recall being drawn to their worn textures, faded colours, and the quiet stories they seemed to hold, each one hinting at a moment captured in time.
Each piece in this collection is created through digital collage and functions as a reimagined postcard, referencing a place, an experience, or even an imagined destination. Blurring the line between memory and fiction, these works explore how travel shapes our perception of the world and how those impressions evolve over time. Familiar landscapes merge with surreal elements, reflecting the way childhood memories often feel fragmented, dreamlike, and reinterpreted.

Why I chose collage as a medium for creativity 🔽
Collage art feels alive and dynamic because it thrives on contrast, layering, and unexpected collisions.
Unlike a blank canvas where everything flows from a single hand and vision, collage pulls from the real world snippets of magazines, photos, textures, fabrics, and found ephemera and smashes them together. This creates instant tension and energy: bold colors crash against subtle ones, smooth surfaces meet rough, vintage meets modern, flat paper sits next to raised edges.
The result?
A visual vibration. Your eye bounces around, discovering new connections every time you look. Layers suggest depth and movement, even in a still piece; jagged edges and overlapping shapes imply motion, fragmentation, and recombination like life itself, chaotic yet purposeful.
Whether it's the frenetic urban energy of a street collage or the pulsing rhythms of an abstract one, collage never sits quietly. It pulses with possibility, always ready to shift perspective the moment you tilt your head.
That's why it stays fresh and electric, century after century.

Nothing Else But Hello is a 10 piece photography series I released in January, and explores parts of Alaska edited down to minimal distractions to have you focus on the forms. While not my usual abstract works, I found peace within the landscape and felt it was important to document. These served as a form of meditation and self-reflection. I hope it can serve others the way it did me.
