I don't find as many Nitrous oxide cylinders as I used to here in Walsall. But occasionally like here in Aldridge I find them dumped as a job lot. See the spare nozzle so usefully provided! It's fatal in long term use

@swangirl14 Oh you and me both, it causes so much harm, so much suffering. Like all rescues I regularly take in poor creatures who are emaciated, starving to death, and their finders are devasted to discover they'd been watching them starve, believing they ate slugs.

I wish these so called experts would stop telling people that slugs are a natural part of a 🦔diet...😤😠

I'm sure most of you know there's no such thing as 'hedgehog food', just like there's no such thing as 'fox food' or 'deer food'. But we're a nation of label lovers - we see Cat Food, Dog Food, Rabbit Food, and we want to see Hedgehog Food. And there's no shortage of unscrupulous companies only too eager to make up a bag of rubbish and sell it to you, at an exorbitant price of course, because we all know if it's expensive it must be good, right? Wrong. There is NO regulated hedgehog food. NONE. They are all unregulated, meaning they can be made in filthy conditions and contain disgusting harmful ingredients. The ONLY safe food to give hedgehogs is cat or dog food, which IS regulated. It's really simple - any type, wet or dry, any flavour, as long as meat is the first listed ingredient. Dry kitten food is perfect: *Small pieces for tiny hedgehog mouths *Great complete nutrition, in scientifically balanced ratios *Dry food won't freeze on subzero nights, or dry out during hot summer nights *The crunch is excellent for dental health *It's easily available at every supermarket at a reasonable price Best of all, cat/dog food is complete, so nothing needs adding - just served with a nice wide shallow dish of clean water.🥰

1985 - 89 Walkers salt and vinegar crisp packet found in undergrowth today. The clear bag ended in 1990, the lines under the colour 85 - 89. Near 40 yrs old not rotted away and never will

Cleaned this up in Walsall Town centre it's the side of a closed weatherspoons that was a theatre. It's just a mess, there are flats behind, the bins are here and people just dump bags along the driveway. Looks better now

So as Friday closes the bag total for this week in - 16 bags collected this week. Lost some time due to illness and there is a lot to do. ALL are from main roads where its tossed from passing vehicles. #onemillionbags

Something gentle and sweet to start your weekend.🥰 Baby hedgehogs go from not existing to being born - in just 5 weeks. They are born before their ears and eyes are fully developed, and carry on growing outside the womb at this amazing rate. This little baby is 11 days old and weighs just 55 grams. He'll feed roughly every 2 hours and by tomorrow he will weigh around 57 grams. A daily increase of 2 grams - that's almost 4% of his body weight. Hedgehogs are such amazing little animals, we absolutely must not lose this precious species.

We're capping ground rent at £250. That means if you are a leaseholder, and your ground rent is more than £250, you’ll be paying less. This will make a huge difference to homeowners and will ease the cost of living for people across the country.
