This one is called "Pipe burst industrial ground slab” by Smart Scanning Canada 🇨🇦 Here are some notes about the demo file from Smart Scanning’s CEO, Allan Gunter: “A customer recently asked about the possibility of using the Screening Eagle | Proceq GP8100 for finding voids under a slab where a pipe had burst. They were able to rent the unit and set up a 36’x11’ grid in approximately 20 minutes and another 20-30 minutes to collect all the data. The below pictures and videos were the result. 🔎 Things to highlight in the data: - The clarity and ease of identifying the rebar grid. - as we go down in the time slices of data, you can see the void start to appear - you can also see the grade beam appear which seems to have kept the majority of the void contained on one side. The augmented reality feature was critical for this project, as it was an active church that had events occuring within hours of completion of the scanning and requested that no marks be left on the floor once the scanning was completed. The "greenest" concrete is the one that already exists 🏗️♻️ Concrete is the second most used material on Earth, but its carbon footprint is a heavyweight problem. In Denmark, the game has changed: strict CO₂ caps are no longer a "future" problem, they are a current requirement. The breakthrough? Structural concrete reuse delivers up to 90% CO₂ savings compared to producing new elements. 🤯 But you can’t reuse what you can’t certify. This is where circrete is driving change. By using Proceq NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) equipment, they are turning old structures into reuseable concrete. Using high-tech sensors to check the quality of the concrete, they generate the structural data required to meet DS/INF 671:2025 standards. "Proceq’s equipment gives us fast, reliable, and repeatable data on-site... It enables us to reduce risk, speed up the certification process, and make structural concrete reuse scalable."
