@AlexLucoMusic That's just shorthand for more nuanced advice, just like most advice. And you'll always have those people pointing at the exceptions to the rule, which actually only prove the rule. As a writer you need to have thick skin or write in a vaccuum.

I take issue with is this idea that this is the “most Star Wars thing we’ve gotten since ____.” Star Wars has always been a reflection of SO MANY things. So when someone says “THIS is real Star Wars”, I just have to ask — what does that even mean? #Ahsoka

@elysiacb That sounds like me. My parents, while always supportive, simply were very young (teen parents) and did not understand. I was constantly forced into social situations, sports teams, clubs, etc, and I spent most days in a constant state of anxiety and fear.

The number of dogshit people in the comments advocating for abusing children is sickening. Hitting a child for any reason is abuse. Period. Full stop.
